I try to get my clients to do about 5 to 10 on each side, holding it (PARRRP!) 5/10 seconds! Haha Classic!

ok, lying on the floor, lifting your legs and arms.. how many times should this be repeated, and how long must you remain in that position?

Actually this exercise is excellent for the lower back and core and is highly recommended by ACSM ( american college of sports medicine) and NASM( national academy of sports medicine. Recommeneded to be done three times a week. Since its not a weight exercise and doesnt break down muscle it can be done often.

i find this exercise is better actually lying on the floor then lifting opposite legs and arms…you can actually feel it.

Idk about you guys but when i do this i work up a sweat and really feel it i always stand straighter too. soo i like it.

I don’t like this exercise. Even if you have good muscle strength you need a lot of practice to get it right and then it doesn’t provide enough muscle load – as a result you need to do it a zillion of times just to warm up.
